Day 2 Southern draw

Well, things didn't turn out as planned, Bamalax lost 3 close games today and finished in 4th at the Southern draw in Atlanta. The team played hard, we just need more time to develop the offense, work on positioning and stick skills. This was a great start to the Bamalax girl's program and now that we have a base to work from the team will just continue to get better. It's always disappointing to lose but I think the girls understand where they are at in terms of development and know where they need to get to in order to really be competitive. We have a lot of bright spots and I really saw some promise in girls like Katie, Jordan, Anna, Maddie, Ashton and several others. It would be really nice if these girls were able to play together longer but with the regular season about to start, I think the team is done until the spring. The girls asked to play together one more time before Bagataway but I don't know if it's possible, we'll see. Anyway, the coaches did a great job and Coach Link had everything organized well so overall I think the weekend and the past few months have been a huge success for girl's lacrosse in Alabama !
